Caracol is a super bulky (6 weight) thick-and-thin single made of Malabrigo's delightfully soft superwash merino wool, and then it's criss-crossed with a binder thread (either black or white.) Then the yarn is dyed one of their signature kettle-dyed colorways, and: magic! Caracol knits up into a fluffy fabric with a lots of texture and visual interest.
90yds, 150g, recommended hook size US N/P/15 to P/Q or 10 - 15 mm, recommended needle size US 13 - 19 or 9 - 15mm
Suggestion for use, from Malabrigo's website: "Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball."
Please remember: with Malabrigo Yarn - Website Photos' colors may vary from skein to skein (shown photos are illustrated as reference) even within the same bag, this is the nature of hand-dyed yarn! When Malabrigo dyes their yarns, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, especially on variegated yarns.
Care instructions: Machine washable, gentle cycle, cold water, do not tumble, dry flat.
